The Gili Islands

These three islands, which are located on Lombok’s northwestern point, are home to deep-water coral reefs and gorgeous beaches. The islands are ideal for people seeking peace and quiet, but if you’ve got your fill of tranquility, you’ll discover all-night dance party hotspots just a stone’s throw away.

Mosque of Istiqlal

This contemporary mosque in Jakarta, Java, is one of the world’s largest mosques, attracting tourists from all over the world.

Trek across the jungle

The jungle walk through the jungles is a great option for anyone searching for a little excitement. Irian Jaya, Kalimantan, and Sumatra have the most isolated and pristine terrain. You may also hike the paths in Kalimantan’s Muller Mountain and Sumatra’s Bukit Barisan National Park, which is located on an isolated peninsula.

The Prambanan temple

These temples, which were built around 900 AD, make up the island of Java’s greatest temple complex. However, due to the eruption of neighboring Mount Merapi, the complex was abandoned soon after it was constructed.

The temples were renovated in 1953 and are now considered among the most important Hindu sanctuaries. Although there are 24 temples here, the Brahma Temple, Vishnu Temple, and Shiva Temple are the most prominent.

You may watch the Ramayana Ballet, a traditional Indonesian performance that you’ll enjoy. It is available usually in October.

Bunaken Island

The coastline of Indonesia is claimed to be home to 15% of the world’s coral reefs. The crystal blue waters are home to around 3000 fish species and 300 different varieties of coral. Bunaken National Park and the Lembeh Strait in North Sulawesi are the greatest spots to see spectacular marine life.

Puppet Shows

These displays are one of Indonesia’s most famous tourist attractions. The puppet shows that take place all around Java are particularly noteworthy.

Traditional wayang golak and wayang kulit marionettes perform popular legends that are woven into the country’s cultural fabric. Some of the shows might go on all night long.

Beaches

beaches in Indonesia

Bali has some of the nicest beaches in the world. You’ll be able to choose from immaculate white-sand beaches to more rugged, rocky, and volcanic black-sand beaches. If you want to go on a beach vacation, there are various Bali villas with sand just outside your door.

Pamper yourself – how about a massage?

Of all the things to do in Indonesia, you’ll love this one as it provides some downtime. You may enjoy fantastic massage delights in Indonesia that are very calming and soothing for your tired bodies. There are various massage establishments in the area that provide really soothing services to all visitors.

There are spas dedicated only to visitors, ensuring that everyone has a fantastic experience.

Check out the cheeky monkeys

In Bali, these monkeys are well-known. Hundreds of these long-tailed monkeys may be observed in some areas of Bali, which is a popular tourist destination. Visitors may also buy bananas from vendors outside the gates where the monkeys are housed and feed them to the monkeys.

Take in the breathtaking sunset

The days in Bali are rather hot, and the best time to go for a walk outside is while the sun is setting. Bali’s stunning sunset is a sight to behold! During sunset hours, visitors always find time to pause and marvel at the sinking sun.

Jakarta

Indonesia’s Metropolitan City Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital and largest city, with an estimated population of 8 million people. It is the world’s tenth biggest city. You may be curious as to what you may see in Jakarta.

There are a lot of sites in Jakarta that you would not expect to see. If you’re seeking a museum experience, Jakarta has more than 22 museums to choose from, each with its own unique focus.

The National Museum, for example, exhibits historical elements of Indonesian culture through its enormous collections of artifacts and relics dating back to the Stone Age.

The museum houses one of the most comprehensive collections of Chinese pottery from the Han, Tang, and Ming dynasties, as well as bronze and gold from Indonesia’s classical period.

Museum Wayang, on the other hand, houses tens of thousands of shadow puppets from all around Indonesia. When you visit Jakarta, there are many additional things to do.

One thing is for sure: gastronomic exploration is a necessity! Because of the unique mingling of Indonesian races in Jakarta, traditional foods are plentiful.

Finally, living in Jakarta will allow you to completely experience Indonesia’s gastronomic journey!

Pagatimun

“Pagatimun,” a secluded beach that offers peace and quiet. Ketapang is about a 1.2-hour drive from the seashore. It penetrates deep into a part of the country that is rarely visited by tourists, travelers, or even residents.

The sound of breaking waves was as soothing as the sound of stars overhead. Pagatimun provides a sense of calm that you won’t find anyplace else on the planet.

Lombok

Lombok is one of Indonesia’s most beautiful islands. It is recognized for its beautiful beaches and deep cultural ties. Lombok has recently become a popular destination for cruise ships visiting the Southeast Asian region.

Lombok is blessed with tremendous beauty, despite not being as well-known as the neighboring Indonesian island of Bali.

National Park of the Komodo Dragon

By land, Komodo National Park is an archipelago of islands characterized by dry, savannah-like terrains and home to the world’s biggest lizard, the famed Komodo dragon.

By sea, the national park represents the pinnacle of marine biodiversity, with more coral and fish species than anyplace else on the planet.

When you combine the two into one amphibious safari, you have the adventure of a lifetime!

Indonesia is an incredible destination to visit if you’re planning a holiday in Asia. There is an abundance of things to do in Indonesia, you just have to take your pick.
